Written by Sowjanya Kalidindi

For Members:

Method #1:

Sending opt-out to Short Code number:

Members can opt out of receiving any text messages by sending “STOP” to short code number 5148

Once the member unsubscribes from text messages, a confirmation message for the same will be sent to the member and what to do to re-subscribe. Below is a reference:

If members wants to subscribe back to text messages, they can send “START” to the short code number 5148.

Once the message subscription is successful, a confirmation message is sent to the member and can send or receive text messages.

Method #2:

Sending Opt-Out message to particular CTM:

Members can opt-out from receiving text messages from a particular Care Team Member by sending them “STOP” keyword text message.

Once a member sends the opt-out message, a confirmation message will be sent to the member and the respective care team member will not be able to send any messages to the member.

Member has to send opt-in message “START” to again receive messages from the CTM

For Care Team Member:

When member opts out from short Code:

Once members opt-out of the text messages, care team member cannot enable the text consent.

CTM existing text room if any with the member will be inactivated and will not be displayed in the text inbox.

Once the member sends an opt-in message to the short code, consent will be automatically enabled and the care extender would be able to send text messages to the member. The text room would be retrieved alone with any previous conversation messages.

When member opts-out for particular CTM:

Once a member sends “STOP” to a particular CTM number, the existing text room with the member will be inactivated for the CTM. The consent to text messages for the member will not be changed.

The CTM will no longer be able to send text messages, until the member opts back with the care extender.

When care team member disables the consent:

Care team member can also disable the consent for the member to receive text messages. When the consent is removed, below message will be displayed for the care team member that provide more information on how member can enable consent again.

On enabling the consent a message will be sent out to the member number. Below is a reference

The following message will be sent out from a short code number to the member.

Consent History:

Any changes to the text consent either by the CTM or by the member (opt-out only )can be tracked under the Communication Preferences Consent History icon. This icon would be visible when hovered over the communication preferences section as below
