Text Size Adjustment

Adjusting the font size on your Mac for mMR

Written by Jonathan Diaz

Here's a how-to article on adjusting the font size on your MacBook and Google Chrome if the text is displaying too small or too large, or sections are appearing incorrectly in mMR.

Instructions

In Google Chrome:

  1. Click the 3 dots on the toolbar on the top right

  2. Select Settings towards the bottom.

  3. Click on Appearance on the sidebar

  4. Under Appearance on right, adjust the following to see what works best for you. See the suggested settings below:

    1. For Font Size select Medium (recommended)

    2. For Page Zoom, select 100

  5. Then, click Chrome on top left of screen and select Quit Google Chrome

  6. Wait about 1 minute, and then re-open Google Chrome

  7. Visit the website console.jumpcloud.com

  8. Login using your work email and JumpCloud password

  9. Then, select mMR from the Applications list and see if it displays to your preference now. If it still does not look right, please continue to Mac steps.

On Mac:

  1. Click Apple logo (top left of screen)

  2. Select System Settings

  3. On sidebar, click on Displays

  4. On the right side, you should see your main display listed

  5. Please select the resolution that best works for you, ranging from Larger Text on the left side to More Space (smaller text) on the right side. If you see resolution numbers instead, a rule of thumb to remember is the higher the resolution numbers, the smaller the text will show on screen (ex: 1920 x 1080 is small text, and 1024 x 768 is large text).

If adjustments in Chrome and Mac do not help, please save all your work and shut down your Mac for 2 minutes. Then, turn it back on, and complete the Google Chrome and Mac steps again.
